Shortbus

I had a recent incident in the bus I wanted to write about. Maybe a week ago, I was heading downtown to the BTS (the elevated train). The bus was fairly deserted (people were probably staying home :-P), and I was happily jamming my Ipod thinking about the lead singer from Rooney. He's cute :-).

Anyway, there also happened to be a Thai kid (maybe 19 or 20) sitting in the row across from me. Furtively, he'd try to eye me, checking out my clothes and my singing voice. At first I thought he just wanted to look (they're curious here). Then I figured he thought I was a weirdo; I start singing and getting in to my gay clubbing mix :-P. Actually, it was none of the above.

The kid pegged me as gay, and was trying to get my attention. He was eyeing me and my body. My jeans were kinda tight that day :-P.

There was no one there to see either of us. He took advantage and moved a seat closer to me. His hands were massaging the front of his shorts and he was openly staring. I was pretty surprised, given that I'd never experienced something so overt in a public place.

He went on massaging, and trying to meet my gaze. I eventually let him, and he pulled down his shorts to show me. By then, I was really surprised as he motioned for me to follow him to the next bus exit.

I was a good boy and let him go alone though. He was cute, but I was trying to be good. I'm not sure what would have happened if I followed.

  1. I probably wouldn't just because I'm shy. 'Good' isn't really a factor. lol.

  2. lol, only young once, but I have only one wallet and a teacher's salary :-).

Michael, have you ridden the bus in Bangkok? Shyness wears away quickly when you have 200 Thai people pushing up against you, and someone's random baby sitting in your lap :-P.
